[ST] Superbowl Sunday Ride

Hello all,

Greetings from sunny and warm East Tennessee USA. Sorry to all the snowbound lads north of the Mason/Dixon line and over in the old country, but I just have to rub in. The local Knoxville, TN Triumph dealer, Destination Motorcycles, sponsored their annual "Frost Bite Falls" ride today. About 25-30 hardy riders showed up, on all types of bikes, and we all had a most enjoyable 40 mile or so ride. At the 1pm ride start time, temps were around 40f, right now, 5:30pm, the thermometer on my front porch is reading 58f. All in all, after taking the looong way home I got in about 110 miles. Not bad for the first day of February.

Last week I put a touring Laminar Lip, see www.laminarlip.com , on my '02 ST. Today was the first chance to really test it out. The lip makes a tremendus difference specially at higher speeds, no cold blast of wind hitting me at chest level, much warmer, even in these balmy temps. Even had to turn off my Widder vest cause I was getting too warm.
