Re: [ST] Is it time for the Insurance thead yet?

Everyone has different circumstances when going for insurance, such as
location, experience, tickets, crashes, age, marital status, etc.
Sometimes I think the insurance companies are just using a random number
generator for premuims. They make you give them all kinds of info and the
computer ignores all that and spits out a number.

My experiences with USAA on the Triumph match yours. Progressive wants
three times more than USAA (1800 vs 600) on the Sprint, however, USAA want
four times as much on the liability for the beemer than Markel (200 vs 50).
Progressive didn't seem to realize there are vehicles from 1974 on the road.

Way too many variables here. What I can attest to, is that I have had no
problems dealing with either USAA or Markel. Both companies have been
exemplary to date. In my claims history, USAA and State Farm were easy to
deal with where I had nothing but problems with Farmers.
