If you think bikes have the braking advantage you are sadly mistaken.
 Even a basic family car such as the Toyota Yaris can brake in a
shorter distance than any bike (ABS fitted or not).  There was a
trial on a variety of road surfaces last year in the UK.

Thus the reason not to travel too close behind any vehicle with four
or more wheels.
