[ST] Re: st-digest V2004 #95



Sound advice that's not worth the ink that wrote it. If you have ever
torqued a cylinder head to specs on a Honda XR650 and snapped the bolt only
to find out the book was wrong or removed half the f***ing fariring on a
Goldwing to remove a tire only to learn later this isn't required even
though the book says so, you will then begin to realize that the books are
not what is always followed by the wise mechanic.
Triumph books have their errors QUITE frequently also. The wise man
considers the purpose of what he's being told to do.
