[ST] bmw R1100S

Does anyone have any experience riding a BMW R1100S or other variations of the "Replika" or "Prep" models, BMW's "Sport" bike with the mufflers up under the seat?  How does it feel/handle/steer/accelerate, etc compared to a Sprint?(particularly a RS, but an ST comparison will do.  Yes, I've read the comparison done in '99 with the Sprint/Ducati ST4/Honda VFR in Cycle World (or was it Motorcyclist?)  I've always liked its looks, and now used ones are on the market at a price I might be able to afford.  Thanks,
