[ST] battery question

Hi all,

I'm new to this list, just joined after buying my new-to-me 2001 Sprint ST in 
early December. I live in Northern California about 20 miles south of the 
Oregon border. We've had a real cold snap with lots of snow, so the bike's been 
sitting in the garage the last week or so. The battery has gone flat and I was 
wondering if there were any special precautions I need to follow to protect 
the fuel injection computer before hooking up a Battery Tender. All my other 
bikes have been carb models so I haven't had to think twice about it. What's the 
group's wisdom on this?
