In regards to the underseat exhaust - it's all about design.  I have put the
underseat exhaust on my ST, and obviously positioning of any bags hasn't
changed....you would think that a manufacturer should be able to design it
as such just as easily as any aftermarket manufacturer....

As for the storage - I can still keep my tools strapped up against the
underside of the seat, and that's all I really need.  If I'm carrying
anything more than that, I usually am going a distance and thus have at
least the tank bag on.

IMHO the undertail exhaust would not be good. There is not enough 
underseat storage as it is. Plus the undertail exhaust often makes the 
sidebags extra wide, just look at the new VFR.

I agree that a BIG digital speedo & multiple trip odo's would be great.
