<SNIP>
Freakin shafties are for pussies. Like someone else said, when Miguel, (or
Rossi) ride one of those things, AND WIN, then I might be convinced. I've
ridden a lot of shafties over the years and all I can say is..........well,
driving my daughter's Miata was a lot like that.

I use to have a goldwing, and I loved it. So are you calling me a PUSSY? ;)
Shaft drives have their place, and chains have their place. Chains are more
efficient(like 95%)at taking HP & torque from the main output shaft and
transferring it to the rear wheel.
Shafts have their place on heavy hog full dressers, like the 800-900 pound
Goldwing. Shafts are practically (I'd say 98%)no maintainence. I sure
wouldn't want to perform chain maintainence on a Goldwing, that's for sure.
