RE: [ST] AAARRRGGGHHH !!!!!!

That depends on a few things. I prefer colder and drier because I can wear
the right clothing and be ok myself, and still have fun safely throwing the
bike around on dry pavement. I don't mind riding in the wet, and have done
so (last year's ride to Americade from Virginia was RIDICULOUS - I had no
visibility, nor could anyone see more than 10 feet in front of them). But
wet is no fun as you have to ride pretty easy.

Now, if you said you could either ride in 0 degree and dry, or 80 degree and
a little wet weather, I would choose the warm and wet. But down to 45 or 50
and dry is almost always more preferable to any temperature and wet, as I
can still lean the bike way over nicely - and that's where the fun is!! My
enjoyment comes from pushing the bike, so when it's wet I generally don't
ride, unless I going somewhere to ride.

Hey now, I didn't say

"Hey, why not ride when it's raining and freezing and there's salt on the
road and there is no road" etc.

I just found it curious that - all other things being equal - people seem to

be more willing to ride on a colder/dry day than a warmer/wet one.
