RE: [ST] new member

Richard, until recently I was an MSF motorcycle instructor. Having
personally learned riding the hard way and then after helping so many
women learn to ride through the MSF training (and I really like the new
curriculum)--I definitely recommend the latter. One thing I discovered,
however, is that women who were "pushed" by their spouses or partners
into taking the course and who really had zero interest of their own in
learning often voluntarily dropped out or waited (and hoped) that one of
us would counsel them out.

The scooter seems expensive but, at least, it's a 2-wheeled beginning.
Good luck to you both.

(The MSF basic course assumes that riders know zero about riding a
motorcycle. It's great for newbies and even for oldies although they
also offer an experienced rider course).

Vicki

Ah, it is good to see women riding motorcycles. My other have loves it
too, but she wants the Suzuki Burgemann 650cc scooter. :(
