I don't think you can tighten them. A new mirror is
about $120-$130. I tried taking it of and using a
hammer a spin tight (screwdriver handle socket end)
that fit over the post and rested on the nut and a big
bolt to support the under side with this set up I
could get a good swing and not break the mirror. I
didn't work and now I believe the mirror is laughing
ant me as I ride down the road. I think I will try the
bolt trick.
