[ST] Ride to Work, my opinion

Many miss the point here. In the macho tendency to say "HEY, I RIDE EVERY
DAY, and anyone who doesn't is not a <real> rider", I say pish-posh.

The whole point of the "Ride to Work" day is not to seperate the men from
the boys, it is to unite ALL riders, just for one day, and show the REST of
the driving public just how many we really are. Kind of like a march on
Washington, without the travel time.

Come on people, are we all so really involved in our own self esteem that we
can't just take one freakin day a year and say, "this is for the team" ?
Hey if you ride to work everyday, cool, good on ya, you are an ironman, I
love you, you are the greatest, WHATEVER. Do you feel better now? Have I
confirmed your status as "true biker"? Good. Now get down off your
high-horse and quit trying to belittle those who would come together, for
just one day, for the greater good of ALL motorcyclists.

There are a lot of riders that ride to work most days, but not all.
Meetings, Clients, and other schedule issues may preclude riding everyday.
But this is the ONE day we can all alter our schedules to include riding to
work. What is so wrong with this idea?

Jeeze, "Ride to Work" one day a year, if you ride every day, just ride again
and smile at all the additional riders you may see. Most of all CHILL, we
all know you are "all that" :))
