Great minds, thinking alike. I picked up a bunch of Castrol R4 fully
synthetic recently at a sale going on at Cycle Gear, and now notice it's
5W-40. Is this a huge issue, should I use it for "over the winter, bike is
sitting for 4 months" storage? At least in that condition, the bike has
clean oil in it, with minimal usage in cold operating temps...

for quite some time, and have been quite happy with it. I am considering
changing to the Synthetic for all my bikes, including the RS. My only
concern is it is rated as 5w-40. And, as someone mentioned, this is
addressed negatively in the manual. Anybody have any experience with it ?
