RE: [ST] Something funny

Depends on the particular state's Department of Motor Vehicles. Some states
have you go on the road with a tester, some have closed courses. This goes
for both motorcycles and cars - seen both kinds for both vehicles in
different states. But in general, I would say that the closed course car
tests are RIDICULOUSLY easy. They just see if you screw up using a blinker,
not coming to a complete stop, parallel parking, and a few other things.
But you can miss a few things and still pass. The closed course motorcycle
tests are generally pretty good, but only judge your low-speed skills (cone
weaves, U-turns, and that sort). The road tests are generally better for
both vehicles.

Just run that one past me again - you mean you DON'T have to take a
*practical* driving test to drive/ride in the USA?
