My ST is my only form of transport and I have not had problems (since I
am in New England the winter will be a problem :)). I usually grocery
shop once a week and just expand my tank bag to the max. Big items and
Costco do not work well. The Full luggage set should offer a lot of
storage. My plan was to sign up for
http://www.zipcar.com/
if I got stuck but so far it has not been necessary.

Post it to all the lists you know of and usenet. Someone may want to get
it running as a starter bike or use it as a parts bike. Put it on
craigslist for free.

If you are going to use it for a lot of two up trips you may want to
look into an aftermarket seat. Sometimes you will see 99/00 with almost
no miles on them. I got a 99 with 13K on it. You may find it hard to
find one with full luggage and it costs $1500 to add it.

Good luck
