He was in full gear -- ff helmet, boots, gloves, balistic jacket and pants.  
Bob has very brittle bones, and they break easily.  A younger person without 
the brittle nature of that old curmudgeon would likely have had less 
injuries.  He's a tough SOB, though, and I know he is going to pull through 
this.
