If you ever ride in Central PA, dead dear along the road are everywhere.
When I was on the Concours Owners Group list these guys talked about adding
banks of lights to there Connies so they could fly through the night at
100mph+ and "not outrun their lights."   Yeah, right!  When you run up here
in the evening or early in the morning, you're rolling dice cause Bambi
don't give a s----, he and the harem are crossin' that road come hell or
high water.  Just about every long term resident around here has their car
versus deer tales.   I constantly scan the woods on both sides of the road
when riding up here.  I even avoid certain roads when it is starting to get
dark.  If you ride long enough they are gonna get ya.  Last year alone, two
guys I ride with tangled with Bambi.  One totaled a Ducati 916 and now has
pins in his hand, the other had to low side his BMW R1100S into the guard
rail - luckily no damage to the rider.  Guess it's just part of the sport.
