Yes!! 8 was most enjoyable! Locally 281, 381, 653 etc are good
ones, although one must run 653 up the mountain for best effect...219 S
all the way to 460(?) was my pilgrimage route last year - also solo...
This year, coincidentally enough, my route into Front Royal was similar
to the "Crossing the Divide" route in Motorcyclist mag. Rode a goodly
portion of 42, which was nice, even in the rain ; > )
The local RatPack has a few guys who could provide some good
routes if you're interested. Garry in particular also haunts this list.
He manages to log quite a few more miles than me...
