Well, I'll throw in my two cents on this one. I ordered a Yuasa today to
replace the original. My '02 Sprint has 16K on it. I pulled the battery for
December, January and February and left it on a Battery Tender as per Yuasa
instructions. The battery has failed on a few occasions, unable to crank the
bike after it has been run at idle or slowly and the fan has kicked on.
Don't know. Stranded me thrice, capping my day off nicely yesterday. I hope
a new one is the answer. One of the tech guys in an MC mag says he replaces
his battery every two years as regular maintenance. Seems excessive, no?
