Do you also believe the dry weights manufacturers claim?

Reports lately also suggest that you can't believe the tachometer on 
some of the high rev sport bikes. Dyno readings show the bike's tach 
to read 500-1000 rpm high on some bikes. So far I haven't heard a 
manufacturer explain that one.

Speedos that are optimistic.
Tachs that are optimistic.
Fuel gauges that aren't realistic.

Maybe they should just get rid of the whole instrument cluster to 
save some weight and expense.
