I'll second Bil's statement of lending a hand
when/where I can.  

I'm in the Coumbus, Ohio area, so if there's any recon
going on within a few hundred miles of there, I'll see
if'n I can't join up with someone to help out for
recon duties (anyne besides me find it strange that I
just classified riding as a duty?).
