Denis,
I had a similar problem back in the fall. It turned out to be a short in
the wiring harness. If I held in the start button and turned the bars
she would start. I went nuts trying to find the problem and went through
all the diagnoses that you went through before I gave up and took it to
the dealer. I was a few days from the end of the warranty period. The
short was in the harness leading from the bars. The mechanic told me
that there is a connector hidden inside the harness which the wire had
separated from. He merely removed the connector and soldered the wire
and sealed it all up.
