My left Vision Plus crapped out last week after about 16,000 miles. Same
symptom, off on low on on high. Turned out it was one blown filament. I
popped in one of the original bulbs until I could get another VP. Last
night, I found them at the local Strauss Auto but they did not have
H4's, only 9004's. The only H4's that they had were the plain old cheap
Made in Taiwan ones. I might be able to get to Pep Boys tonight and see
if they have them.

Oddly enough when I put in the original there wasn't much of a
difference. Maybe the old VP is about to die too.
On a similar note: Isn't the little clip that holds in the bulb supposed
to just hinge out of the way instead of coming out completely thereby
making the task a two handed job necessitating the removal of the
fairing? I seemed to remember it taking less than 5 minutes per bulb
when I could easily snake my hand into the fairing. Taking out the old
bulb was a one minute task. Putting the new one in took about 20 minutes
and thirty-seven curses. Did some part break on mine? Or was I just
imagining things. Does anyone have a photo of the bugger the way it
should be?
