[ST] S.F. Bay Area Summer Solstice Ride 19-Jun Sat

  The longest day of the year is coming! This is the time for a super all day  
(daylight) ride. I am planing to ride from dawn to dusk. The ride is on 
Saturday to let us recover on Sunday.

WHEN: Saturday 19-Jun-04

MEETING PLACE: I live in Pleasanton, but I am open to meet almost 
anywhere. It depends where the other riders live. This will be decided a week 
in advance. If the interest is there, we could setup secondary meeting place 
for riders that don't live in the Bay Area.

RIDE: I am open. With over 15 hours of light, we can ride a long way. This 
will also be decide later. But I am thinking about the southern Sierra foothills; 
may be around Hwy 190. There are some great roads in that area.
  While this will be a high mileage ride, it is NOT an iron butt ride. Stops will 
be made as the group wishes. The idea is to have fun AND ride a whole lot. I 
have in mind something like: start at first light, just after 5am; ride for a 
couple of hours then have breakfast. 

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO NOW: If you are interested and may be able to 
make this ride, then email me! Feel free to send suggestions. I will 
coordinate with all interested parties.
