I run the 89 in in mine. I'd done a lot of looking around the 'net for
translation of the "RON", and 89 is what I kept coming up with.

I figure I get a 1/2 gallon or more of 87 at most fillups though, because
the single-hose pumps usually last put out 87, so that's what the hose is
full of. (Unlike me, where I'm just full of sh*t.) I'm prolly getting closer
to 88 as an average. ;)

runs great and my mileage is always in the high 40's

For what it's worth:  Triumph Motorcycles (NA) in Newnan, GA puts regular
unleaded in the demo and other bikes they operate.  They are probably too
busy to figure out all that math and the bikes seem to run just fine.
