I still can't believe how many daily riders ride without luggage. 
Personally I have my rain gear/extra visors and heated liner in my one 
pannier, workout clothes in my right and laptop in my top box.

If everything was strapped on it would be a real pita and preclude using 
the bike as a daily commute weapon.
