RE: [ST] WHOA NELLIE !!!! (Andy & Jack)

Initially, I had the same response as James, until I did the math:
300/5.6=53.57mpgUS. Now, I've had higher mileage than that before, so it's
feasible, though I wouldn't want to rely on getting that many miles without
having a back-up plan.

The riding days are fewer lately - currently it's raining with bright
sunshine - so keep them stories coming.

Yes - 300 miles. Tappan Zee Bridge, NY to around Frederick, MD. All
super-slab; no tolls (well one and that was EZ-Pass), no traffic. Had
to hold steady 70-70mph due to car following me with gear, and car
didn't know where it was going. So also, no extra gear/bags/etc. The
tank was bone dry. The only reason I pushed it was because 1) I had the
car behind me in case... and 2) I JUST REALLY WANTED TO DO IT!!

300 miles on a single (cough, cough) tank of gas?

Sorry, this Believer is an unbeliever.
