To get this thread going a little more.  A reasonably priced heated grip kits can be had at:

I haven't tried them, but am tempted to...  They use different elements for each grip.  This is supposed to counter the differences in the mounting surface for each side.  

Anyways, the price is right.  It lists for just under $30.00

Slightly OT but a neighbour has asked me to get some heated grips on her
behalf for hubby's Honda Fireblade as an Xmas present.

Given that Honda do not *seem* to do OEM heated grips for the Fireblade
can anyone make any recommendations for heated grips which are comparable
to the OEM Triumph.
