[ST] Re: 02 ST Direct Link Shifter & Shims

G'day Again - seems there was quite some interest in this topic. Does
anyone know why they have the linkage anyway - surely would be cheaper
to make and install a direct lever gear change ??
While I'm here another question, - just had 30,000 klm service (18,000
mile)- still no valve shims needed from new, bike used 100 ml of oil
out of full 3750 ml - Mobile 1, in about 10,000 (hard) klms. Is that
normal ??
Cheers folks - any questions on OZ, pleased to answer 4 you.
