Even easier method and requires no cover removal: Pull the plugs, put it
in gear and use the rear wheel to turn the shaft. I only had the valves
done at 12k. So it was either 8,000 or 20,000 miles before it finally leaked

My old Honda CM400T has a rubber gasket that can be used over and over
again. Anyway, the gasket looked like it was messed up since day one.
