I have a 2000 RS and had the same symptoms, no start, no horn. TWICE. The
first time the dealer corrected the problem, it was a wire that had broken
at the black connector just below the clutch lever. The second time I had
to take care of the issue because the dealer did not reattach the wire
properly. If you follow the wiring from the clutch lever you will see a
black connector, make sure the wiring is tight. More than likely that will
be the culprit.
