RE: [ST] Dreaded cupping

How about heat? The compound will soften I believe... so scorching
tarmac?

Thanks to all for the replies and thoughts. I've run enough sets of
020's on
the ST and VFR to know that some bikes and some tires are more prone
to
cupping than others, I understand why it happens to some degree even
;^{D but
the whole point of the post was to try to find more about why I'm
seeing signs
of it so early in the tire's life and if it was related to the possible
rotor
warpage...

Sure, I had just come back from a rally so there was a day of somewhat
hard
;^{) riding bookended by travel days, the return home day beeing a
freeway
blitz.

And sure, there's frequent use of the front brake as someone noted,
almost all
my braking includes use of the front. I do try to ride with the
principles of
The Pace but still there are some times where excessive speed needs
bled off,
esp. when chasing someone...but usually the only hard braking is when
coming
to a stop.

I will have to examine the tire a little closer to see if I can tell if
this
cupping is from forces from the side or from the front, those were
some
interesting notes.

Like I said, I'm used to seeing this on a tire with over 5k on it, not
so
early. Any thoughts on what may cause "premature" cupping?
