OK, you started it.

My reasons are legion, but let's stick with motorcycles. The Democrats
are the party of trail lawyers, government control and the 55 MPH
national speed limit. John Kerry has never found a liberal idea he
would not promote, usually with the idea that the government or some
other elite needs to tell you how to run your life. He has fought every
reasonable plan to decrease dependence on foreign oil, from ANWAR to
nuclear power. He will give us CAFE standards that will raise the price
of cars and encourage ever more unreasonable emission standards for
bikes, lowering performance.

Bush's policies are less intrusive, do not depend on government
interference in your choice of transport and assume that you can
function without a bureaucratic minder. He hasn't forced gas rationing
or price controls on us, so in spite of shortages, we can get fuel,
unlike the unlamented Jimma Carter years when it both expensive and
unavailable. It is unlikely that a Bush administration would peruse
policies that would prevent you from changing to an aftermarket exhaust.
Under Kerry the pseudo-environmentalists and safety nazis would have a
free reign, unless controlled by congress.

If we lose our bikes, or just have them "safetied" to the point that
they aren't fun anymore, it will be the Dem's, the lawyers and liberal
agendas that do it. Folks, we have a lot more in common with the NRA
than we do with the ABA, ACLU or MoveOn.org, and they have the
constitution on their side. We don't.

Who would you buy a used bike from? John Kerry or George Bush? Bush is
a dependable, stable individual, while Kerry simply follows the polls
and the newspaper, even when they are wrong. And don't forget, Red Sox
pitcher Curt Schilling and his wife, have endorsed Bush. Right, Denis?

I'm curious Mick, what is it about George W that would give him your
vote?
