RE: [ST] Mileage going down

Does your bike use oil? If so, this will affect combustion efficiency and
mileage will be lower.

You didn't mention what year ST you own but on pre-'02's, a common problem
is having a new tune loaded into your ECU without resetting the CO back into
the 2.5 - 3% range afterwards.

Not sure where you are but in our area, our gasoline has 10% ethanol from
October through February. As a result, my mileage is about 10% lower during
this time than it might be during similarly cold weather during other times
of the year.

And lastly, the more I ride my bike and make improvements to it and my
riding skills, the more time I spend enjoying wider throttle openings in the
upper regions of the rpm range, with predictable results.
