[ST] triumph racing plans

I started to post this last week but Brian just asked about Triumph's plans
for Super Sport racing.
I have sent a message to all three. We now need your help folks.

I know you are a keen Triumph owner and supporter of the race team. Shortly
will be the end of the two year contract ValMoto received off Triumph
Motorcycles. Obviously we don't know what Triumph Motorcycles plans are for
next season if any, but we want to put it to the people concerned as
Triumph owners and fans that we wish the TVM racing effort to continue. We
have our reasons, and they are mainly that we consider that after another
winter's development, we believe with Jonesy on board the TVM Triumph
Daytona 600 we/TVM would be lifting the silverware. This season hasn't
produced the results I know but the TVM Triumph Daytona 600 has run up
front with the best machines in the business every race. The potential is
there. We feel that to stop racing now would leave unfinished business and
a feeling with fans that the main point in taking up the racing hasn't
really been proved because we haven't the silverware to back it all up. We
don't expect Triumph Motorcycles to fund a team for 5 to 10 years but we
think give it one more year to collect the silverware and we'd all gladly
walk away.

On the Triumph ValMoto and unofficial Triumph websites there are postings
asking for a continuation of the Triumph and ValMoto racing effort. I can
on e-mail say that a contact thought the possibility of an extension of the
TVM racing programme was doubtful and not looking good. That said no
decision has been made and it'll be months before a decision is.

That's why we are asking fans to write to Triumph Motorcycles with their
thoughts and feelings over the TVM racing effort. Obviously e-mail is the
easiest method, but I couldn't leave e-mail addresses on Bulletin Boards
really. I can off course on e-mail, so please find below e-mail addresses
of Triumph Motorcycles personnel:-

Bruno.Tagliaferri@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Ross.Clifford@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Neil.Webster@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Bruno is Head of UK Sales. Ross is Product and Racing Manager. Neil is a
RAT Representative.

I know you will be keen to see the TVM Racing effort continue, so it will
do no harm to e-mail the Triumph personnel above with your thoughts and
wishes. Please e-mail these people. I'm certain you'll have some Triumph
owning friends that would lend a helping hand!!

Thanks and regards,
