[ST] confused

After my original Battlax BT 57 rear lasted me barely 5K miles (2001 bike
bought in 2003), I decided to listen to some of you and bought a Michelin
Pilot Road rear. Good news: 120.- delivered, bad news: nobody will touch
them, can't get it on the bike, or I'm just dealing with a******s. Anyway,
the dealer STRONGLY advised me against the Michelins and swears by the
Dunlop D208 ZRs. I understand these are great tires but how about longivity?
I'm not a canyon carver just a spirited driver. Does anybody have any
experience with them? Otherwise they are for sale 120.- plus 10.- shipping,
brand new with stickers.
