I guess a radical solution would be to run the fan backwards when in
traffic! Most of the heat comes from the rad?

I see Martin has mentioned the modified fairing method
to dispel heat. It works, but you need to be moving for
best effect. If you are stopped or caught in slow
moving traffic, the heat rises, the frame and
everything nearby gets hot. These are great, reliable
bikes but Summer's heat makes riding them in the city a
challenge.
I wish i had some words of wisdom, but "they all do that"!
