Steve, I hope you got to ride up S6 to Palomar Mountain.  There is a rest
stop at/near the top called "Mother's Kitchen".  Palomar is replete with boy
racers and the Highway Patrol on the weekends, but mid-week is really nice
to ride.  S7 is an alternate route to Palomar, but the twisties are not as
tight.  I agree with your assessment, Courser Canyon and Lilac Rd are pretty
good.  Then there is Cole Grade Road, Lake Wohlford Rd, Rice Canyon, West
Lilac, Old Julian Hwy, . . . Oh, I had better stop before even more people
move to San Diego.
