Not so much forest roads as scrub brush. In fact the really backroads area,
just off Ortega Hwy was as dry as anything I've seem, literally a tinderbox.
I don't see how the place wasn't on fire. Just one spark and the whole
place would go up. Some of the other areas were a bit more forested, but
nothing like Arkansas, or N.C. etc............ Some of the best roads I've
ever ridden, nonetheless.
