Jack,

I lost my lens about a year ago, no rock hitting it - bad glue job, 
listening to others it sounds like a common problem . I got it replaced 
under warranty though. Unfortunately it comes as a unit only. (lens, mirror, 
housing). Sometimes you can find some on ebay.
