RE: [ST] MotoGP - Round 1

Here comes ten penneth worth:

i. The guy who leads into a corner owns the line. Within reason he can take whatever racing line he wants. This is why a proper blocking pass is considered good practise. You get your nose in front and you have control of the line, the guy on the outside cannot do anything until you turn in. As long as you leave him some tarmac to work with, its safe.

ii. Showing somebody a wheel or half-a-bike doesn't give you ownership of the line. Showing somebody a wheel or half-a-bike still leaves you with the responsibility to clear the line the guy who is leading into the corner is taking.

iii. Rossi knew he was going to bump him and thought that he was probably going to lose the front on the brakes. The foot and body language tell it all. Rossi's "I do that to get my foot back on the peg" was b*ll*x. How many times did he do it in previous laps?

iv. Nonetheless, it was marginal. Not disqualifying Rossi was the right thing to do. He should of had a warning though. If Gibernau had gone down and not scored any points, Rossi should have been disqualified.

IMO!

A

Ps Nonetheless, I think Sete Giblets is a tit. Especially after crashing this weekend!
