[ST] RE: Shim Design Differences



To the best of my limited understanding, under-bucket offers higher engine RPM's.  I presume higher RPM gives higher engine performance?

Those three cylinder MotoGP engines redline upwards of 16-17K RPM's, but they use pneumatic valves instead of spring.

Can anyone explain to me why shim-under-bucket is better than shim-over-bucket?
