Well.......in thinking back there have been some other things, like taking
some of the wedding gifts (money) and using it for a down payment on my '75
Trident; using the oven to heat up my '65 Bonneville head to make valve guide
removal easier; bringing some of her girlfriends home after work and finding a
set of cylinders in the oven, using it to cure the hi-temp engine enamel,
one of them told her that food cooked in that oven would taste like paint
forever(it didn't). Oh, then there was cake carrier incident.....we were just
married (7-8 mo.) she was at work, I had just changed the oil in my '56 T110 and
discovered that I had to pull off the tank. I needed something to put the
fresh clean oil in temporarily, couldn't use the "drain oil" tub, it had the old
oil I had just put in it. So I used our/her tupperwear cover for the cake
carrier. Now it was only in it for two hours, but that Castrol Gran Prix 40W
stained the bottom(top) and about 4" of the side of that tupperwear cover a
light golden brown, not acteone, mineral spirits, or laquer thinner would get
it off. She never used it again to cover a cake, or anything else. And she is
fairly sensitive about filling her car with gas and then seeing me siphoning
out 5 gallons to put in the bike to go for a ride(even though I took her
along).
