Re: [ST] All shiney again :O)

I had both motolights and PIAA 1100X on my first ST (not at the same time obviously!).

The motolights are beautifully made from billet alloy, are specifically made for motorcycles and have a life time guarantee.
They are also immensely strong and could probably act like crash mushrooms in a spill.
The looks are probably more suited to a cruiser style bike than a modern machine but that's personal taste.
Finally, the service from the folks at motolights is second to none.

The PIAAs are made from plastic and hence the housings are fragile; They'll disintegrate in a spill.
The lamps however are amazingly bright, turning night time into day at the flick of a switch.
They have a modern look which complements the ST nicely.
The supplied loom can just be connected up but really does benefit form some minor modifications to make it more suitable for bike use.

Overall the Motolight is a better built product but the PIAAs are just better lights.

When it came to chose the lights for the new ST I chose the PIAA without hesitation.

There's a picture of motolights on my first ST here
