My understanding for UK is:

If they are on with sidelights or dip headlights they will be subject to the headlight beam-aim test in the MOT.

Seeing as they are forward facing they must be white bulbs, not any other colour.

Have to say they look COOL in the photos.  Gadget-tastic!
