RE: [ST] 19T X 45T

When it comes to the tight bend factor of the front sprocket, just remember almost all Japanese bikes come with between 14 and 16 teeth for the front sprocket. Triumph has different gearing internal to the transmission unlike Japanese bikes, making it a larger countershaft sprocket bring the gearing to more street friendly gearing. I still get around 40 mpg on the highway, when cruising, and get over 20k per chain using DID 530ERV chains.

Now if the chain were shorter, I can see clearance problems, because the wheel is now going in. Thus running the risk of rubbing.

But, in all, I agree with you. Less bend in the chain. I put a 17T on my front, and I don't like it. It seems to be pushing the limit on chain bend. When I need to replace them again, I'm gonna go with 18T or 19T and increase the rear instead.

Anyone have experience with a 19T countershaft and 45T rear? It sounds
good to me: about the same ratio as 18T X 43T but less bend in the chain.
I think 110 links should be OK but I'm not sure and don't know if there
are any clearance problems.
