Rupe,
Mine were supposedly adjusted by a Harley/Triumph shop (that was
shedding the Triumph dealership) at 12K, and by an excellent local
mechanic at 25K. He said he had to adjust all but 3 of them and gave me
the shim measurements he added.
I'm just a little ovedue for the 36K, but it goes in next week to our
Triumph dealership. We will see what they look like at 41K.
But I use little to no oil between 6K changes using Amsoil oil and filters.
Dave
I just had my ST in for a 24k mile check (at 25.4k miles.....) They had to
adjust 3 shims, on my 12k mile service they used 1 shim. So far, no burning
of oil. The mechanic stated my bike was in excellent shape. I don't know if
that was lip service or not.
I've been using the Mobil MX4T for my oil changes and the Purolator Pure one
oil filter. No complaints here.
Tom
