Thanks for the info.  Those are the words I've been looking for. I did
remove the oil from the forks by MityVac once when I put in new springs, but
at the 12K mark I tried it and couldn't get all of it out of the right fork
for some reason and had to pull them.  Looks like I'll stop short cutting
and just pull them.  I probably need emulators like a hole in the head but
it keeps me out of trouble.
