[ST] Brake vs Carb Cleaner

This is a bit random (but hey, it's non-riding season here in the Northeast...).  Is there a difference between brake cleaner and carb cleaner?  I've noticed on a lot of sites people mention to use "either brake or carb cleaner" for many tasks.  Anyone have any real knowledge on this?
