Re: [ST] lifting handle-my mistake



IMHO the Sprint is one of the easier bikes to lift onto the centrestand

The trick with all centrestands, as I'm sure many/most of you know, is
to STEP DOWN on the stand with your right foot as you lift (wherever)
all in one coordinated move -- basically you let all your body weight
bear down on the stand and lift very little

When using the hinged handle, I always used to rest my hand/arm against
my right leg and was able to get even more leverage (so the fact that
the hinged handle was lower actually helped make this easier to do, for
me anyway)

And while on the topic of centrestands, I always 'bump' the bike forward
off the stand while stradddling/sitting on the bike, never while
standing to the side -- it takes a bit more time, but too many bad
things can happen otherwise
